Haoyu Liu

About me

I am a second-year PhD student at School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University, advised by Xin Sun. Previously, I earned my bachelor in mathematics from Peking University, where I did undergraduate research with Jian Ding. I also obtained a bachelor in economics from the National School of Development.

My research interests lie in probability theory, especially random geometry and statistical physics. In partitular, I focus on percolation theory, Potts models, random cluster models, Schramm-Loewner evolution and their interplay with Liouville quantum gravity.

I was born and raised in Hangzhou, and in my free time, I enjoy swimming and playing squash.

My Erdős number is 4.
